We are an empty nest couple with a blended family who decided to retire early from the rat race. Early in our marriage, we were looking at "tiny living", and knew that we liked the idea but didn't know how it was going to look for us yet. At that time, our children were still young and at home, and we had full-time careers. When the kids were grown up and gone, we decided to sell our house in Texas and buy an old motorhome in 2021. It's a 1993 Foretravel Grand Villa and we call her La Luz. She is our self-contained home on wheels!
Our mission is to inspire and educate RVers on the joys of Workamping, and the freedom of boondocking while we live full-time as nomads. Whether you're a seasoned traveler or just starting your journey, join us as we discover the beauty of nature, immerse ourselves in different cultures, and live life to the fullest.
We embrace the world of nature as we explore staying at County, State, and National Parks for RVers. We are adventurous souls who share a love for the great outdoors, capturing its beauty through our lenses, and experiencing life on the road in a sustainable and mindful way.
Hit the road with us - the adventure awaits!!
We share our thoughts and insights into life on the road!
On our way to the Beet Harvest in Michigan, we spent 8 days in Albuquerque that were totally unplanned because the Hydraulic Pump failed on our Foretravel. We spent about $2k getting her fixed. If you want to live full-time in your RV, be prepared for things like this. The roads are rough, and you never know what may happen - whether it's new or old.
We set up our new Yurt at our Workamping site in Mount Laguna. It's 15 feet in diameter and more than 9 feet tall. Our kids stayed in the Yurt when they visited us and were very comfortable!
More adventures in Workamping!! In this episode, we discuss theft, our new tent, and getting back on the road flat towing our new-to-us toad.
More adventures in Workamping!! With more people getting outdoors and camping than ever before, camping etiquette is very important.
We begin this series with our adventures, Workamping, here in the Cleveland National Forest in Southern California. Join us for some laughs and serious conversations!
Living full-time on the road means only taking what you need and utilizing the storage space you have.
When we bought our rig, the bedroom colors were brown and green - yuck! See what colors we chose!
We didn't think we'd encounter any other wildlife besides roadrunners, lizards, and snakes! But donkeys??!!
We saw some great views atop Mt. Willard while hiking!
